- SSHP shock tolerance
- Excessive shock may
cause cracks in the bismuth telluride micro-pillars or the joint between the
post and ceramic. This will compromise cooler performance.
- Storage
- SSHP's should be stored
in a dry environment and packaged in individual carriers or carrier
compartments.
- Mounting surfaces
- It is necessary to
ensure that the adjoining surfaces to the SSHP are flat to less than 0.08mm
in order to avoid cracking the bismuth telluride micro-pillars or the
junction between the pillars and ceramic plates.
- When mounting the SSHP,
torque applied to the assembly must be evenly distributed. If it is
not, it may result in inadequate heat distribution or fracturing of the SSHP
internal components.
